Priceless, thanks!
“When the booklet is delivered, it will be a gift for my grandchildren. Every night, I read books to them. As their grandmother, I am in favor of works by Slovenian authors. Best regards”
Priceless, thanks!
“Thank you for sending the handbook. We will enjoy reading it and, of course, I will not share it anywhere as I value your copyrights. I will however spread the word among my friends who love books as much as I do.”
“Tjaša, the book is wonderful! I was a little skeptical whether it was suitable for my child’s age because of the rich illustrations and everything else, but my little one is absolutely thrilled! Most times, we only read the beginning and ending, and he’s already asleep. We’ve been reading the book every night since I bought it, sometimes taking time to both read the story and think about how it might unfold. And I have to admit – when I saw that bra, I laughed until I cried! And so did my boy. Thank you for this wonderful and educational content, and I look forward to the next book. <3 Wholeheartedly recommended!”

“I had to share this photo … After telling the little ones to tidy up their room, I naturally went to check on them, and I saw this among all the books and reading material… My children, aged 5 and 6, said, “This is for tomorrow so we can continue reading.” A wonderful little book!”
“We took the fairy tale with us on vacation! Each night, we look forward to the continuation, wondering what the mountain and the cloud will do next. And, of course, we look for nearby mountains and clouds during the day to take a closer look at them. 😉 A fantastic little book, Tjaša. Highly recommended! <3!”

About the fairy tale
The Mountain that Caught a Cloud is the first book from the Renewed collection (2026) and the result of vast experience in working with parents and children. It is a tool that helps establish a quality and enjoyable communication with children. So, dear parents and guardians, do not be surprised if – in addition to all the advantages of the book a – you also discover everything else it can do for you. Above all, it is a book that helps children develop into healthy and confident adults.
»The fairy tale is my gift to children and, at the same time, a concrete tool for parents to acquire the necessary knowledge their children deserve. What children receive from us is extremely important from the moment they nestle in their mothers’ wombs. Despite how busy we all are, I encourage parents not to forget the well-being of their children and take into account that what we (as learned parents) think is good, right or important might not always be the best. Anyway, I have penned this story with love to provide support for young generations, paying attention to the rules and laws of young, developing brains.» – Tjaša
The book touches upon the key areas and topics of our time, which we want our children to become acquainted with early on, yet we do not offer them enough support and guidance. These include keywords such as:
- Loneliness,
- Arguing,
- Conversation,
- Self-esteem,
- Competitiveness,
- Bullying,
- Reconciliation,
- Friendship,
- Importance,
- Self-talk,
- Communication,
- Non-violent communication,
- Self-confidence,
- Conflict resolution,
- NLP,
- Mediation,
- Neutrality,
- Power,
- Comparison,
- Therapy for children,
- Positive thoughts,
- Positive mindset,
- Brain,
- Neuroscience.
These keywords have been assigned to the fairy tale by experienced writers. What we would like to point out ourselves is that the book touches upon the issue of improper interpersonal communication and offers a perspective of non-violent communication, respect for different beings and opinions. With thoughtful writing style and choice of words, it enables and enriches positive inner dialogue and, later on, healthy self-confidence.
The ability to express one’s opinion constructively and non-violently while listening to others is a must-have skill. We acquire it early on in our lives, which is why it is important what kind of communication a child experiences at home and what kind of learning environment they live in. Giving a child a healthy start is easier than having to re-educate them later but, as society, we still operate according to the re-education system. There is likely no need to emphasize how crucial knowing how to recognize and resolve conflicts is and how frightening and vast the consequences can be if this is not the case. To achieve this, we have to first and foremost know and understand ourselves.
Of course, all parents need some guidance – simply because we do not trust ourselves, because we have blind spots and because we are overwhelmed with all baggage stemming from the methods, rules and effects of different parenting styles. In this mess, is it really possible to find the right way?
As adults, we must start realizing sooner that our children mirror our lives, and that our own “shit” (pardon the expression) leaves permanent marks, which future generations will have to deal with again and again until someone finally decides to do things DIFFERENTLY.
The most important thing is to realize that our wonderful children are our responsibility, and that the work always begins with ourselves. We have a duty to explore new ways of thinking whenever we see that something is not working or feel that something is not right. Only with our breadth of knowledge can we set optimal boundaries and guidelines to raise happy children, who will spread their wings freely and confidently when the time comes and pass that happiness on.
What do you get from this book?
The book *The Mountain That Caught a Cloud* is a special children’s story that is not just an ordinary story to read, but also contributes to a child’s emotional and cognitive development. At the same time, it helps parents with parenting and communication.
1. UNDERSTANDING AND SUPPORTING EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT
The book supports the development of positive self-talk, self-confidence, and a healthy self-image in children. It encourages children to understand their own worth and their feelings in a positive way, which is the foundation for emotional health.
2. LEARNING CALM AND RESPECTFUL COMMUNICATION
The text incorporates elements of nonviolent and calm communication, teaching both children and adults. With this book, children can learn how to express their feelings and resolve conflicts in the calmest way possible. It also demonstrates that, despite misunderstandings, we can maintain dignified, calm, and respectful communication.
3. A Book That “Grows” With the Child
The book is not intended solely for the youngest children or only for older children. You can use it as early as during pregnancy (suggestive preface and conclusion), as a condensed version or a gradual introduction to reading (preschoolers), and it’s excellent for elementary school students (up to ~12 years old), as it contains diverse content and deeper meanings.
4.Therapeutic Approach and NLP Elements
The text is designed with a therapeutic approach and incorporates principles of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), which aid in understanding a child’s thoughts, emotions, and behavior.
5. A Supportive Framework for Family Interaction
The book is a tool that helps parents communicate effectively with their children and offers opportunities to discuss various life topics through storytelling and humor.
This fairy tale is a tool that:
- Encourages proper and enjoyable communication with children,
- Speaks positively to children,
- Helps parents create a positive self-image and self-confidence in their children,
- Empowers parents in instilling positive feelings and establishing positive bonds with their children while reading,
- Shows the importance of humor,
- Teaches non-violent communication and peaceful conflict resolution,
- Spreads awareness of the importance of everyone and everything,
- Subconsciously teaches enjoyable communication, proper self-talk and choosing the right words that children's brains love.
Despite the abundance of literature for children, there is not much literature that is actually suitable. The type of material we offer our children to read is important, especially if we consider what kind of reading is friendly, encouraging, positive and generally beneficial for them. We invite you to recognize that it is precisely the most traditional fairy tales, which we praise so highly and push into every pore of children’s lives, that are the most questionable or harmful.
AN ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE FOR EASIER UNDERSTANDING
As an example, let us consider Little Red Riding Hood – classic that I am sure we all know. I always ask parents, “Is this really the kind of content you would want to give to your child or grandchild if you knew they take everything in it LITERALLY?”
Do you really want to instill fear in your children? Make them resent wolves? Fill them with terror when they walk through the woods? Make them think that you can rip someone’s stomach open, stuff it with stones and then sew it back up? That the animal will survive? That it is ethical? Portray hunters as superheroes?
Or what about “The Little Match Girl?” My dear friends, it is true that transience is part of our lives, but do we really need to scare our youngest with such morbidity? This will not make children any better prepared for life. All we will achieve is a hurt child, and a hurt child will grow into a hurt adult.
We must not forget that our time and everyday life are regulated by technology and obligations. As parents, we are constantly being robbed of time with our children, and children are being robbed of the carefree and sociable childhood that we ourselves experienced.
Pressing issues such as:
- Growing distress among children and adolescents;
- Rising mental health problems, diagnoses and treatments among children,
- Increased violent communication and violent behavior;
- More urgent psychiatric treatment of children and adolescents;
- Twice as many young people considering suicide than before the epidemic;
- Ignorance and inability to communicate healthily and correctly with children;
- Rising divorces and child distress upon divorce;
- Ignorance and inability to adapt current adult topics to children and hold proper and structured conversations about them...
Indicate that it is high time we offered proper support to our children and embraced conscious parenting.
»We already know how important reading culture is. We also know how useful and beneficial the written word is. I do not want to burden you with these facts. However, I would like to point out that, as a parent, I have encountered an abundance of children’s literature, even though I have not always been satisfied with the offer. As a umologist, I can therefore say there is little suitable literature that would be stimulating, positive and generally good for children. Do we hear our children? Do we listen to them? Do we observe them and delve into how we can communicate with them appropriately? What about ourselves and our communication? With this in mind, a fairy tale entitled The Mountain that Caught a Cloud was penned, which takes into account everything the mind of a child loves and needs. I wholeheartedly recommend it to all libraries, kindergartens, schools, homes and all other places where children’s souls dwell.“
Tjaša Ravnikar, M.A.
Many people fail to realize that children are, up to this moment, a combination of everything they have received from us, their parents, and the environment we have created for them. At some point, parents are taken aback by this, asking themselves, “Where did this come from? Why are they behaving like this now?” when their child does something that surprises them – something that may be inappropriate and condemned by others.
"It is us, dear parents, who are the main building blocks of our children and, at the same time, the greatest influence on them. From the beginning to the end. Us. Parents. Our role is therefore complex and lifelong. It begins in and is shaped by small things. One of them is reading. Yes, reading is important. It is like a shared meal. A shared ritual. But WHAT we read is even more important. What kind of content we subject our children to. Believe me, families who eat and read together are not the ones responsible for statistics..." – Tjaša Ravnikar, M.A.
Spread the word and earn
Since our book sells best through WORD-OF-MOUTH…
We have decided to thank you for your contribution. From now on, we will SHARE our success and progress WITH YOU, and not with entire chains of greedy systems.
It is certainly MOST VALUABLE when someone is so satisfied with your work that they eagerly RECOMMEND IT TO OTHERS…
The most logical question at this point is why not PUT THAT EXTRA MONEY IN YOUR CHILD’S PIGGY BANK rather than in the pockets of agents or publishers?

What makes this first children's book so special and different from other fairy tales?
The book certainly goes beyond ordinary reading, as there are countless possibilities for using it. We can simply read it, or we can turn it into a project involving the whole family.
It can help us:
- Improve communication within the family,
- Improve self-talk and help understand its importance,
- Spread decent and quality communication around us and elsewhere,
- Build self-confidence and a positive self-image in adults and children alike,
- Establish a positive internal dialogue (self-talk),
- Create a positive view of the world,
- Reinforce fundamental values,
- Enroot within us a healthy and heartfelt view of the world,
- Understand the importance of oneself and others.
The content of the book, the suggestions it contains and the carefully chosen vocabulary are a treasure is here to stay. Forever.
Fairy tales train the brain to believe that anything is possible, yet unpredictable: the mountain wanted to catch a cloud, and it did, but not necessarily the way it imagined – in the end, reality turned out even better than imagination. It is important to be active in determining or co-creating our outcomes, and it is vital to be aware we will always learn something in the process. Always.
This fairy tale is so special because:
- it is not just a fairy tale, but an educational and therapeutic story
- it encourages positive self-talk
- it teaches peaceful communication, understanding of feelings, and conflict resolution
- it is suitable for a wide age range, from infants to 12-year-olds
- it offers an opportunity to deepen family relationships
So if you’re looking for a book that’s more than just an entertaining read—something that develops mindset and emotional stability and improves family communication—this book is a valuable and excellent choice.
The Mountain That Caught a Cloud is truly something special, and that is precisely where its power lies.
It is unique because:
- it does not moralize, but gently guides the child toward insight,
- it speaks the language of feelings, not rules,
- it acts as quiet support—the child internalizes it without feeling that anyone is “teaching” them,
- yet it also speaks deeply to adult readers.
Books like this are rare because they require a very delicate balance between story, symbolism, and psychological depth. That is precisely why such books stay with us for a long time. Not just on the shelf, but also in our thoughts and conversations with our children.
What are the indispensable advantages of this fairy tale?
-
It deals with all current topics and issues.
Everyone can sense an increase in undesirable situations and events in our society, such as physical violence, psychological and verbal abuse, communication challenges, inappropriate expression, insults, escalating conflicts, deafness, misunderstandings, intolerance, competitiveness, hostility and so on. This is not something we should, but rather undeniably must solve as quickly and appropriately as possible. -
The book contains an encoded intention that imprints the following message in our brains:
What we want can happen if we want it enough. It may not happen EXACTLY as we expect or imagine it to be, but this is precisely why the final outcome may be even better. - It teaches parents how to properly communicate with their children and think.
- It shows children how communication is done right and encourages them to think and reflect positively.
-
It is a book that grows with the child.
The introduction and conclusion can be read to the fetus during pregnancy, while certain parts of the dialogue between the mountain and the cloud can be omitted with toddlers. Overall, the book is also beneficial for children aged 12 and up. - When you purchase the book, you can also receive a e-handbook for parents with fun activities for children at a symbolic price. There, you will find all instructions, recommendations, guidelines and book-related activities collected in one place.

What age is it suitable for?
The content is suitable for children of different ages – from the day of birth to 12 years of age and older.
We can read it to children from the very beginning (0+), sticking to the introduction and conclusion, which teach us how to properly encode content for our children.
Many 12-year-olds will also enjoy delving into this entertaining and interesting story, but with preschool and school children, we recommend the following:
- Until about the age of three, read short excerpts from the story, as they are written in a way that caresses the child's mind, heart and soul (for instance the address, introduction and conclusion).
- From the age of three to seven, adjust the length of the reading to the child's attention span so that they can easily digest the story. When reading, you can omit certain parts of the dialogue that do not change the plot of the story.
- From the age of seven to twelve, children mostly enjoy reading the entire book on their own (and none of them will mind if you join them as they read). We encourage parents not to be prejudiced against older children – they also love to read beautiful words in books, laugh at funny stories or work on enjoyable and dignified communication.
Remember: Children remember EVERY WORD and EVERY IMPRESSION. They also BELIEVE adults UNCONDITIONALLY. Adults must thus act as filters and regulators of emotions for children. This means the content we provide our children with must be carefully selected.
Other advantages of the fairy tale
The most important advantage of this fairy tale is that it helps children develop the right mindset, as well as the right perception of themselves and their surroundings. The book offers strength in formative times when content that is being instilled in our children can still be easily shaped.
- The story is based on carefully created content that takes into account the holistic development of children and the development of their brains.
- It sheds light on (non-violent) communication and conflict resolution.
- It revolves around enjoyable communication (self-talk, parent-child communication and social interactions).
- Its content supports the development of proper self-talk and, consequently healthy self-confidence and a good self-image.
- It encourages children to admire nature and explore their surroundings.
- It pleasantly stimulates thoughts.
Not only will this book strengthen your relationship with your child – it will also remind you of all those little things in interpersonal communication that we as parents sometimes overlook.
Our goal and purpose are to inform and educate parents about what truly makes for GOOD AND QUALITY CHILDREN’S LITERATURE. We are convinced that 95% of the content they themselves or the educational systems provide their child with fails to check that mark. Our book offers a healthy and much-awaited counterbalance.
- For all progressive and playful parents and guardians, who are no strangers to reading stories out loud, we recommend staging a real theatrical treat for your children to present our fairy tale. With characters clearly labeled, it will be easy for you to play the different roles. Well, not only for you, but for anyone who might play the roles with you.
Another advantage worth mentioning is that I have written the book in a way that makes it easy and enjoyable to read. I am sure that many of us read stories to our children with excitement and a lot of imagination. In this story, there is no distracting multitude of dialogues with different voices, making sure we do not confuse or upset our youngest listeners, who are a very demanding audience. – Tjaša Ravnikar, M.A.
For professionals
This book is also indispensable for all professionals who work with children in any way whatsoever. Not only does it help them communicate with children properly – it also helps them deal with topics that are particularly important and pressing today.
Professionals can use this booklet as an excellent tool for simultaneously entertaining the youngest members of our society and delivering relevant content to them. It can also be used as a tool for guiding focused conversations, exploring less pleasant topics or explaining the laws of interpersonal relationships and self-esteem, dealing with the perception of one’s own value, abilities and capabilities, as well as nurturing inner strength, willpower, awareness of connectedness.
Here are just a few of the benefits you will gain from reading this book:
1. Important life messages presented in a way children can understand
- The book deals with self-reflection, empathy and the understanding of emotions in an appropriate and straightforward way.
- Through the story, children learn how to deal with inner turmoil (anger, fear and sadness) and turn it into something enjoyable – which is the basis of emotional literacy.
- It is useful for professionals who want to help children build resilience and positive self-talk.
2. Conversation starter
- It allows you to observe group dynamics and monitor individual children's responses while reading the story.
- The guidelines in the professional handbook facilitate safe and structured discussions about emotions, conflict or challenges in relationships.
- The story acts as an exceptional role-playing game – children can identify with mountains, clouds or weather changes, making it easier for them to talk about themselves and/or their experiences.
3. Therapeutic effect driven by metaphor
- Metaphors allow children to talk about their problems indirectly, which reduces any potential reluctancy or embarrassment.
- It is particularly valuable in psychosocial counseling, mediation or any kind of schoolwork.
- It makes it easy to introduce complex structures and concepts that might be difficult for children to comprehend, but are already forming the foundations of their understanding.
4. Versatile tool
- It can serve as a teaching aid in language, art, ethics, social studies or homeroom classes.
- It can be used as an introduction to a workshop on emotions or the start of mediation between children.
- It can also be useful to professionals in the context of special education and the promotion of social skills.
5. Tool for strengthening the bond between the professional and the child
- When we, as professionals, read, explain and explore the story together with the child, we build trust.
- The book allows children to see us not only as an authority figure, but also as a well-meaning conversation partner and companion.
- It allows us to establish a genuine, positive and secure bond, which is particularly endangered and lacking today.
1. Reading as a “calming activity” (5–7 minutes)
When:
- after a break,
- after a conflict in class,
- before a test,
- at the start of the day.
How:
- read a short excerpt (not the whole story),
- in a calm, slow voice,
- without explaining it right after reading.
This serves to regulate the class, not as a lesson.
2. The cloud as a symbol (safe for all children)
Instead of talking about their emotions, talk about the symbol.
Sample questions:
- “What do you think the cloud represents?”
- “Why isn’t the mountain afraid of the cloud?”
- “What would happen if the mountain got really angry at it?”
This way:
- no one is singled out,
- yet the children still reflect on their own experiences.
